Breezy westerly to northwesterly winds taper off past sunset this evening. Drier and warmer conditions today hold true most areas Saturday as highs climb into the upper 90s to near 100 in lower elevation areas. A few thunderstorms will develop just east of the Sangre de Cristo`s Saturday afternoon, tracking southeastward to the TX line with one or two becoming strong to severe. Thunderstorm coverage expands Sunday and Monday with mid-day thunderstorm development over the mountains, slowly tracking over surrounding lower elevations of mainly the southern and eastern halves of NM each afternoon and evening. This trend holds true thru the rest of next week with slowly declining thunderstorm coverage each day. Highs remain in the upper 90s to near 100 over lower elevation areas along and mainly west of the Rio Grande thru next week as well. ................................................................
