A staunch ridge of high pressure will continue to produce record and near-record high temperatures through Saturday with very low humidities and light winds. Winds will become gustier in the first half of the week and temperatures will trend a little cooler with each day, while humidities gradually begin to climb, as a slow- moving and moisture-deprived upper-level low-pressure system crosses the Four Corners region. There will be a slight chance of gusty and light rain showers, virga showers, and perhaps a few dry thunderstorms mainly over west central, northwest, and north central areas Monday and Tuesday.
