Record and near record warmth will continue today and Saturday, although a backdoor cold front will cool high temperatures around 10-24 degrees over east central and northeast areas on Saturday. Strong wind and very low humidity will develop today with the strongest winds associated with a mountain wave along the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where gusts up to 70 mph are forecast.
