Locally critical fire weather conditions are forecast across east central areas this afternoon, where a few pockets of minimum humidity near 15 percent will coincide with west and southwest wind gusts from 25-40 mph. Accumulating snow is forecast in the northern and central mountains, adjacent east slopes and upper Rio Grande Valley Wednesday and Wednesday night. Northwest wind gusts from 25-45 mph look increasingly likely along the central mountain chain and across east central areas Saturday. Poor ventilation will be common Thursday through Sunday, except for ventilation improvement across east central areas on Saturday with the gusty winds. ................................................................
