The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Guadalupe County in east central New Mexico...
  South Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 430 AM MDT.

* At 132 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy
  rain drifting south across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches
  of rain have fallen in the past 60 minutes along Mesa del Gato
  Road, Weller Road, and State Road 129. Additional rainfall amounts
  up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the Cuervo Creek drainage
  basin.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of North Central Guadalupe and South Central
  San Miguel Counties.

This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 59 and 67.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
