...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of east central New Mexico, including the
  following counties, Curry County, De Baca County and Quay County.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
  heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Another round of heavy rain producing storms is forecast this
    afternoon and early evening across the East Central Plains of
    New Mexico. Grounds are saturated from yesterday`s heavy
    rains and very little additional rainfall is needed to cause
    flash flooding.
