Airport Weather Warning for the Albuquerque International Sunport...UPDATED
National Weather Service Albuquerque NM
717 PM MST Wed Nov 6 2024

...GUSTY EAST WINDS BETWEEN 35 AND 40 KT FROM 8 PM TONIGHT
THROUGH NOON MDT THURSDAY AND SNOW ACCUMULATION REACHING 1/4 INCH
AROUND MIDNIGHT...

Sustained east winds of 20 to 25 knots with gusts between 35 and
40 knots are expected this evening through noon Thursday. Wind
speeds are expected to be the strongest after midnight through mid
morning Thursday when gusts may top 40 knots.

In addition to the wind, there will also be snow. Though snow has
mixed with rain this evening, snow will become more steady this
evening and overnight. Temperatures will slowly drop below
freezing by midnight, allowing snow to begin accumulating if the
strong winds allow. Though this is a tricky forecast, snow
accumulation should reach one quarter inch by the midnight hour,
with another 1 to 3 inches possible by noon Thursday.
