...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL PENNINGTON COUNTY
THROUGH 230 PM MDT...

At 154 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 3
miles north of Black Gap, or 4 miles southeast of Rapid City, moving
southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Southeastern Rapid Valley and Rapid City Airport around 200 PM
  MDT.
  Caputa around 210 PM MDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
west central South Dakota.
