Showers and thunderstorms continue across portions of the interior and these should continue to slowly dissipate over the next several hours. A relatively quiet overnight period is expected, though southwest flow should lead to showers and a few storms over the Gulf waters late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Some of these may move over coastal regions around daybreak, then most activity shifts eastward through the rest of the afternoon and evening. The current forecast is on track, with no major changes needed. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Most shower and storm activity is north and east of the terminals this evening, though some brief rain is not completely out of the question through the next couple of hours. By 12Z or so, model guidance continues to indicate showers and storms moving off the Gulf over the KTPA/KPIE region and possibly extending south toward KSRQ as well. These storms will then generally shift eastward through the rest of the afternoon and evening hours with southwest winds in place. && .MARINE... Southwest winds will remain in place over the next several days with no headlines expected. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be during the late night and early morning hours each day. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
