.DISCUSSION...Showers and thunderstorms are not expected to
develop over the SAR area this evening, but there could be
isolated thunderstorm activity overnight. Given the moist airmass
in place, can not rule out heavy rain with any showers or
thunderstorms. Otherwise, expect typical diurnal winds within the
canyon. Closer to the ridgeline, winds will be south to southeast,
switching to more east to northeasterly later tonight. Ridgeline
gusts overnight are generally expected to be 20 mph or less, but
with high pressure over northwest AZ, cannot rule out periods of
30 mph gusts through the evening hours. Winds near ridgelines
will be out of the southwest for tomorrow afternoon, with some
gusts 20-25 mph in the afternoon.
