582 AGUS76 KRSA 041304 HMDRSA Hydrometeorological Discussion National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA 605 AM PDT Thu Jul 4 2024 ...UNSEASONABLY WARM TO HOT TEMPERATURES CONTINUE INTO NEXT WEEK... ...DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH THE PERIOD UNDER THE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE... .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (THU AM - WED AM)... The 4th of July will be greeted by warm to hot temperatures with anomalies continuing to run from plus 5- to plus 20-degF above seasonal normals...as strong high pressure is situated just off the west coast with 500-mb heights nearing 6000-meters. As the high pressure slowly drifts toward the east the heat is expected to persist into next week. Right now...the warmest days appear to be this upcoming weekend with some anomalies across the interior of northern CA pushing plus 25-degF. One thing this area of high pressure is doing...is limiting precip development with a stable airmass overhead. Conditions look dry into the middle of next week...at least.
