345 WGUS84 KOUN 080147 FLSOUN Flood Advisory National Weather Service Norman OK 847 PM CDT Sun Jul 7 2024 OKC019-049-099-080545- /O.NEW.KOUN.FA.Y.0158.240708T0147Z-240708T0545Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Carter OK-Garvin OK-Murray OK- 847 PM CDT Sun Jul 7 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT MONDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Oklahoma, including the following counties, Carter, Garvin and Murray. * WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 847 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
