West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...High pressure over the central
Atlantic will shift slightly SE today as a weak cold front pushes
SE across the northern waters. The front will move E of the
northern waters tonight and settle across the central waters Mon
before quickly diminishing. Another weak cold front will move E
across the northern waters Mon night through late Tue. A stronger
cold front will approach the northern waters from the W Thu, then
become stationary across the northern and central waters Thu
night while the central Atlantic high drifts back to the W.
Chesapeake NAVTEX remains inoperable. Technicians are aware. We
apologize for the inconvenience.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W

.TODAY...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming variable, then, becoming
S to SW. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Areas of fog, scattered showers and
tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to
4 ft. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
