Hot conditions persist through the weekend, especially across the interior. A Heat Advisory remains in effect for most inland locations through 6PM today due to heat indices up to 110 degrees. A Heat Advisory will also need to be considered for at least Saturday. Heat indices outside of Advisory areas will be up to 107. Afternoon high temperatures are forecast in the lower to mid-90s. Daily scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast, as the sea breeze develops and moves inland. Overall flow will become increasingly southerly through the weekend, with the sea breeze collision occurring farther eastward as it does so. Main threats with storms will be gusty winds to 45mph, lightning strikes, and locally heavy rainfall. Winds increasing to around 10mph behind the sea breeze. No min RH concerns. Fair to good dispersion each afternoon. Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
