This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Thunderstorms: Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms can be expected today over South Florida. Storms will be capable of heavy rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds, with the potential for localized flooding in areas of poor drainage. Excessive Heat: Peak heat indices between 105 and 110 degrees will be possible today over southeast Florida with peak heat indices between 108 and 113 degrees over southwest Florida. A heat advisory is in effect for the entire area through 8 PM. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible each day through the period. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours. Slow storm motions could also result in localized flooding, particularly near the metro areas. Heat indices over 100 degrees are expected each day through the next week, with peak values up to 110 possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
