Organized severe weather appears unlikely, however damaging winds and marginally large hail will be possible with any stronger storms. Over far southern into southeastern Arkansas, heat index values may approach or exceed 105 this afternoon before precipitation moves into these areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Seasonal temperatures are in the forecast this weekend. Precipitation will be isolated to scattered, and mainly south and west of Little Rock. A cold front will push into the state from the Plains early next week. The front is expected to stall across the area, and will trigger hit and miss thunderstorms Monday through Thursday. Temperatures will remain at or a little below average. Toward the end of the period, some data is showing the remnants of tropical system Beryl heading toward us from Texas. Should this happen, rain chances would increase Wednesday into Thursday, along with the potential for heavier downpours and flash flooding. The situation will be monitored closely. .Spotter Information Statement... Spotter activation will not be needed. && Visit NWS Little Rock on the web. Go to http://weather.gov/lzk. $$ 70/46
