Although thunderstorms have largely exited the southwestern Texas
Panhandle, occasional light rain will continue through 1230 AM.
Some additional strong wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible in the
vicinity of Muleshoe, Friona, and Dimmitt, but overall the threat
for strong winds will gradually diminish over the next hour or
two.

the South Plains region through 1230 AM. Wind gusts up to 55 mph
will be possible with this activity, in addition to brief heavy
rain and occasional cloud-to-ground lightning.
