...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Missouri, including the following
  counties, Knox and Lewis.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows
  are elevated and may cause flooding of nearby areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 402 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Canton, Edina, La Grange, La Belle, Lewistown, Knox City,
    Colony, Greensburg, Hurdland, Novelty, Baring, Monticello and
    Newark.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
