...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Missouri, including
  the following counties, in east central Missouri, Crawford and
  Washington. In southeast Missouri, northwestern Iron and west
  central Saint Francois.

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 947 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.7 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cuba, Potosi, Steelville, Bourbon, Bismarck, Leadwood,
    Anthonies Mill, Park Hills, Viburnum, Irondale, Mineral
    Point, Leasburg, Courtois, Cherryville, Bixby, Old Mines,
    Richwoods, Belleview, Caledonia and Shirley.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
