Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...As a 30.0 inch high pressure ridge over the Great
Lakes drifts east today, a 29.9 inch low pressure trough will
slowly move east across Minnesota. This trough will dissipate as
it moves over Lake Superior on Monday. Then a weak high pressure
of 29.9 inches setting up over Lake Superior on Tuesday will build
to 30.1 inches on Wednesday. On Thursday, 30.1 inch ridging will
extend from central Quebec across Lake Superior into the Upper
Mississippi Valley.
