Gusty west to southwest winds (gusts of 20-40 mph) will develop each afternoon and evening across the interior through at least the weekend and likely well beyond that, strongest in the Antelope Valley and adjacent foothills. Minimum relative humidities will range between 10-20 percent through Thursday. Seasonable warm temperatures will continue through Sunday with little day-to-day change. The combination of warm temperatures, low humidities, and gusty onshore winds will maintain elevated fire weather conditions each afternoon and evening. Sundowner winds will develop again tonight across the western Santa Ynez range with gusts of 30 to 45 mph. Winds will mainly be focused from Jalama Beach to San Marcos Pass as well as the Santa Lucias. Areas that experience sundowner winds will likely have humidity levels lower to between 25 and 35 percent, with temperatures climbing to between 75 and 85 degrees. As a result, there will be elevated fire weather conditions for the western Santa Ynez mountains. There will also be gusty northwest winds across the Interstate 5 corridor. There is a 5-10 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms across the LA County mountains and Antelope Valley this weekend. A warming trend will begin next Monday and peak Tuesday and Wednesday with highs between 105 and 108 in the Antelope Valley, interior parts of San Luis Obispo County, and the warmer coastal valleys. Minimum humidity will again drop to around 10 percent across interior areas and 15-25 percent for the coastal valleys. Breezy afternoon and evening winds will continue across the interior and especially in the Antelope Valley with winds up to 40 mph.
