896 FZUS63 KMKX 191404 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 904 AM CDT Fri Jul 19 2024 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... A broad area of high pressure around 30.2 inches will prevail from northern IL to the lower Great Lakes into Saturday. Light to modest southwest winds are expected during this time, although with some variability to the winds. A weak cold front will then move from north to south across the lake Saturday night into Sunday morning. Light north to northeast winds will prevail after the frontal passage and continue at least into Monday.
