.DISCUSSION...Temperatures will continue to cool over the area with
afternoon highs expected to be close to normal Wednesday and
Thursday. Minimal cloud cover is expected during the overnight
periods, but will increase during the afternoons. Winds will be
largely terrain-driven, with southwest/upsloping winds during the
day and calmer/variable winds during the night. Afternoon
thunderstorm potential will increase during the week in the Sierra
Nevada; there is a 10 percent chance for thunderstorms Wednesday
afternoon and a 20 percent chance Thursday afternoon.
