960 FNUS54 KHGX 041906 FWFHGX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 206 PM CDT Thu Jul 4 2024 .DISCUSSION.. Light winds and hot/humid conditions will prevail over the next several days. Along with the light speeds, we can also expect the direction of winds to be fairly variable, particular at night and in the mornings. This is when a light landbreeze will conflict with otherwise southerly winds. In the afternoon, as the seabreeze takes over, these two working in tandem will keep winds a little more persistently out of the south, albeit still with some variability. Some isolated afternoon showers and storms may develop each afternoon, though the potential for rain at any given spot will be fairly low. Independence Day Fireworks will result in hazy conditions this evening.
