...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN KIT CARSON COUNTY
THROUGH 230 PM MDT...

At 216 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Vona, or 8 miles southeast of Seibert, moving
southeast at 30 mph. A 2nd strong storm was located north of
Stratton moving southeast.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Kit
Carson County.

This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 408 and
426.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Goodland.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
east central Colorado.
