This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Excessive heat:
The majority of our area, except for a few counties along and
north of Nebraska Highway 92, remains under a Heat Advisory
through 8 PM. Please refer to the Advisory statement for more
details.

Thunderstorm potential:
Primarily between 10 PM tonight and sunrise Tuesday, the entire
area will have at least a slight chance for thunderstorms, but
with the overall-highest chances focused near and south of the
Nebraska-Kansas border. Some storms could develop directly over
our area, but there is also a possibility for a larger-scale
complex of storms to roll in from the west. Some storms could be
severe, and the entire area is under either a Marginal or Slight
Risk for severe weather, with the main threat being winds to
around 60 MPH, and lesser potential for hail up to around quarter
size.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday Thunderstorm potential:
During the morning and early afternoon hours, spotty, weak
thunderstorm activity is possible within the area.

However, of greater concern will be the 4 to 11 PM time frame, as
isolated to scattered storms are expected to first develop in
counties north of Interstate 80, and then drop south-southeastward
with time. The potential for some storms to become severe has
increased a bit, and our entire area is now under a Slight Risk
for severe storms. The main threats appear to be hail up to around
ping pong ball size, and wind gusts to around 60 MPH. By roughly
midnight, the vast majority of our area should be storm-free.

Wednesday night through Sunday thunderstorm potential:
Between late Wednesday night and Sunday, there are various,
intermittent thunderstorm chances within the area. At this time,
the overall-highest chances for the most widespread activity
appears to focus Friday evening and overnight.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report any instances of hail and/or
severe wind gusts that might occur overnight.
