...The National Weather Service in Quad Cities IA IL has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...

  English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday morning at 915 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO LATE FRIDAY
MORNING...
...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD WATCH...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...English River at Kalona.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water begins approaching several county
  roads. Agricultural land near the river is flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.5 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest of 15.7 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
