...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ST. LOUIS COUNTY
THROUGH 630 PM CDT...

At 614 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
northwestern Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, or 24 miles north
of Lake Vermilion, moving south at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Loon Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
