Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
226 AM EDT Sat Jul 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A weakening cold front will move into Southeast U.S. this weekend and
stall over the region into next week. Today will be hot and humid with an
increased chance of showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorm activity will
continue to increase next week with the stalled front in the vicinity.
Temperatures will be not as hot Monday and Tuesday due to extensive cloud
cover, but will warm to slightly above normal later in the week.
Drought conditions persist across much of the area resulting in increased
fire danger.

Fog potential for tonight: Low
