Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
139 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Upper ridge remains in place across the Southeastern US with
another hot and humid day expected. A weakening cold front will
move into the region tomorrow with scattered to numerous showers
and thunderstorms likely during the afternoon and evening hours. A
few thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall. Drought
conditions persist across much of the FA resulting in increased
fire danger. The cold front is expected to stall across the region
keeping rain chances in the forecast Sunday and into next week.

Fog potential for tonight: Low
