...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ERIE...EAST CENTRAL
NIAGARA...ORLEANS...NORTHWESTERN GENESEE AND NORTHWESTERN MONROE
COUNTIES THROUGH 745 AM EDT...

At 704 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Middleport, or 7 miles southwest of Medina, moving northeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Brockport, Medina, Albion, Hamlin Beach State Park, Akron,
Middleport, Holley, Waterport, Lakeside Beach State Park, Point
Breeze, Kent, Ridgeway, Shelby, Clarendon, Gaines, Kendall, Alabama,
Lyndonville, Gasport, and Morton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
