Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast...UPDATED

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the northern Gulf of Mexico
continues to provide favorable wind and sea conditions along the
lower Texas coast into Saturday afternoon. Marine conditions
steadily deteriorate Saturday evening with potential tropical
storm or hurricane conditions developing Sunday through Monday
with the current National Hurricane Center Track taking Beryl
near the lower Texas coastal waters. Hurricane Watches are
currently in effect for all coastal waters. Mariners and other
marine interests should continue to stay tuned to the latest
tropical updates from the National Hurricane Center.

.TONIGHT...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots, diminishing to 5 to
10 knots after midnight. A moderate chop on the bay, diminishing
to light chop after midnight.
.SATURDAY...Southeast winds around 5 knots, becoming east in the
afternoon. Smooth on the bay, increasing to light chop in the
afternoon.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...East winds 5 to 10 knots. Light chop on the
bay. A slight chance of thunderstorms. A slight chance of
showers.
.SUNDAY...Tropical storm conditions possible with hurricane
conditions also possible. Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots,
increasing to 20 to 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots in the
afternoon. A moderate chop on the bay, increasing to rough in the
afternoon. A chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers in the
morning, then showers likely in the afternoon.
