An upper level ridge over the Great Basin will continue to be the dominate large scale weather feature and bring hot temperatures and low humidities. High level monsoon moisture remains over the area for a slight chance (20 percent) of thunderstorms this afternoon near the Nevada border and across the eastern Boise Mountains. The Great Basin high will begin to strengthen over the area Tuesday as a weak upper trough tracks north along the coast. Moisture and lift accompanying this trough will bring a slight chance of Thunderstorms again on Tuesday to southeast Oregon and the Owyhee Mountains.
