685 FGUS75 KBOI 012034 ESFBOI IDC003-015-025-039-045-085-087-ORC001-020845- Hydrologic Outlook National Weather Service Boise ID 234 PM MDT Sat Jun 1 2024 ...ATMOSPHERIC RIVER WILL BRING MODERATE RAINFALL LEADING TO RISES ON STREAMS AND RIVERS... Synopsis: An atmospheric river in the Pacific is bringing abundant moisture to the region. Storm total rainfall amounts in the Outlook area range from 1" in valleys to 2" on ridges. Rainfall amounts underestimate flood potential as snowpack melt will add snow-water equivalent contributions of around 2". Where: Elkhorn and Wallowa Mountains in Oregon. Adams, Washington, northern Gem, Valley, Boise, and northern Elmore counties in Idaho. When: Rainfall beginning Sunday evening and ending Monday evening. Rain will expand from NW to SE in the first few hours. What: Moderate rainfall leading to rises in creeks, streams, rivers, and lakes. Rainfall could be locally heavy Monday morning and Monday afternoon/evening as terrain driven storms become more likely leading to potential for minor flooding. Potential for mud or rockslides.
