...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ELMORE...WEST
CENTRAL TALLAPOOSA AND SOUTHEASTERN COOSA COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM
CDT...

At 700 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Highway 9 and Highway 22 to Nixburg to
near Equality. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Alexander City, Dadeville, Equality, Eclectic, Jacksons` Gap, Eastern
Lake Martin, Western Lake Martin, Highway 9 and Highway 22, Nixburg,
Southern Lake Martin, Kowaliga Bridge, Wind Creek State Park,
Northern Lake Martin, Fishpond, Central, Ray, and Dare Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
