...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN WARREN COUNTY
THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Johnsburg, or 14 miles west of Warrensburg, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Warrensburg, Johnsburg, Chestertown, North Creek, Thurman, Garnet
Lake, Thurman Station, Sodom, Starbuckville, Riparius, Edwards Hill,
Wevertown, Holcombville, South Horicon, Bakers Mills, High Street,
Athol, Brant Lake, Riverbank, and Darrowsville.

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 23 and 26.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
