...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central New York.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the
Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Heat Advisory.

A cold front moving across the region into this evening will bring
widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a Marginal Risk
(level 1 of 5) for thunderstorms becoming severe with damaging winds
the primary threat.

There is also a threat of heavy downpours that could lead to
localized flooding in urban and poor drainage areas and isolated
flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Heat index values will be close to Heat Advisory criteria Monday and
Tuesday in lower elevations areas. If confidence increases, a Heat
Advisory may be needed.

Also, there is a chance of thunderstorms Tuesday through Friday,
mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.

western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A cold front moving across the region into this evening will bring
widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a Marginal Risk
(level 1 of 5) for thunderstorms becoming severe with damaging winds
