Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible today tracking west to east. They will increase in coverage this afternoon into the early evening hours. A few of the strongest storms could become strong to severe over portions of southern and eastern South Dakota into west central Minnesota, with winds to around 60 mph and hail around the size of quarters. Relative humidity values will fall into the 40 percent range across central South Dakota, while staying remaining in the 50 percent range elsewhere. Although weaker with less coverage, mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are forecast again Sunday and Monday. A pattern chance to drier and warmer conditions will take for much of the upcoming work week, with 90 degree temperatures returning as early as Thursday.
