...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN JACKSON AND BENNETT
COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM MDT...

At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles northeast of Potato Creek to 3 miles
east of Snake Butte to 4 miles northeast of Yellow Bear Canyon.
Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Hisle around 630 PM MDT.
  Wanblee and Eagle Nest Butte around 635 PM MDT.
  Long Valley and George Town around 645 PM MDT.
  Vetal around 700 PM MDT.
  Harrington around 705 PM MDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include eastern Pine Ridge
Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southwestern South Dakota.
