At 128 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally south of
I44 in eastern Oklahoma and also in Arkansas east of I49.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Cherokee and
Mayes counties in Oklahoma and Carroll county in Arkansas. Movement
was to the southeast at around 20 mph. The average amount where it
rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage
decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late
tonight, mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely with
temperatures 72 to 77 degrees and north winds up to 5 mph.
