Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to move across the area tonight. A few damaging wind gusts could occur, especially in central portions of the state. Heavy rainfall is also possible, particularly in parts of east central Kansas. There is a 40 to 60 percent chance for thunderstorm development along a cold front in eastern Kansas Thursday afternoon and early evening, mainly along and southeast of the Kansas Turnpike. If storms form, damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall will be the main hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
