Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
247 PM MDT Wed Jul 3 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Moist and unstable northwest flow aloft will help to maintain
chances for showers and storms across most Fire Weather Zones
through Saturday. High temperatures will slowly warm through the
first half of the weekend, but remain below to near normal. By
Monday a strong upper level ridge over the Pacific Northwest will
begin to shift east, bringing much hotter and drier conditions to
the Northern Rockies. Well above normal temperatures are favored
by the middle of next week, with the potential for highs to
approach 100 degrees for consecutive days across some zones. -
