...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Missouri, including
  the following counties, in southwest Missouri, Barton, Cedar, Dade
  and Polk. In west central Missouri, Vernon.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 748 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Stockton, Montevallo, Jerico Springs, Arcola, Umber View
    Heights, Milford, Wagoner, Cedarville, Olympia, Filley,
    Sylvania, Bearcreek, Stockton Lake and Stockton State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
