...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN HARNETT...EAST
CENTRAL LEE...SOUTHWESTERN WAKE AND SOUTHEASTERN CHATHAM COUNTIES
THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Lillington, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lillington, Fuquay-Varina, Angier, Holly Springs, Broadway, Harris
Lake Boat Launch, Seminole, Raven Rock State Park, Buies Creek, and
Shearon Harris Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Dont wait until you see the first lightning flash before heading to
safety. Move indoors at the first sign of threatening skies or the
first sound of thunder. Deadly lightning strikes can occur well ahead
of an approaching storm, prior to the arrival of rain and wind. Make
sure that lightning is well away from your location before resuming
outdoor activity.
