...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT FRIDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Hot conditions with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and heat
index values in the low 100s are expected through the late
afternoon hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

   Heat Advisory.

Dangerously hot conditions are expected on Friday and Saturday with
heat index values of 105 to 109 expected. In addition, scattered
thunderstorms are expected on Friday and Saturday afternoon and
evening with some storms capable of producing strong to isolated
damaging wind gusts. Thunderstorms on Saturday may produce locally
heavy rain with some localized flooding possible.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

Additionally, scattered thunderstorms will be capable of producing
strong to isolated damaging wind gusts, primarily before 9 PM.
