Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
108 PM MST Tue Jul 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Drier conditions will continue to filter into the region over the
next few days. Isolated afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms
are expected this afternoon over the Arizona higher terrain with
chances on Wednesday even lower. As conditions continue to dry
out, hotter temperatures are expected, especially later this
week. Humidities will drop considerably starting today over the
majority of the area. MinRH values across the lower deserts will
fall to around 15% while across the higher terrain areas east of
Phoenix, values will range between 25-35% this afternoon and fall
to between 15-25% starting on Wednesday. Winds will follow diurnal
trends, occasionally gusting to 20 mph during the afternoon
hours.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
