06/26/2024 Allegheny PA NWS Storm Survey
A brief tornado began near the Mellon Plan neighborhood
of Monroeville and swept through parts of Wall, Pitcairn
and south Monroeville. Damage noted included a large
number of trees snapped or uprooted, some fence damage,
with siding removed from homes. Trees fell into power
lines, causing a number of poles to snap. The tornado
briefly retreated north toward Kelvington Park before
dissipating.
