...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN WAYNE AND JEFFERSON
COUNTIES THROUGH 615 AM CDT...

At 550 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mount Vernon, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, Rend Lake Area, Wayne City, Bluford, Ina, Bonnie,
Keenes, and Johnsonville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 83 and 99.
 Interstate 64 in Illinois between Mile Markers 72 and 90.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
