...SIGNIFICANT HEAT WAVE ARRIVES THIS WEEKEND AND PERSIST WELL
INTO NEXT WEEK...
Today, the main threat for showers and thunderstorms will shift
east mainly impacting the north Idaho Panhandle. Much of Central
and Eastern WA will be dry and seasonal with periods of breezy
winds gusting 15 to 25 mph. The Fourth of July will be warm and
dry with light winds. Much hotter weather will arrive this weekend
and persist well into next week. There is moderate confidence for
a well above average temperatures, dry conditions, and low humidity
to persist well into mid July. Overnight recoveries will become
increasingly poor with time as the heat builds in.
