...FIRST SIGNIFICANT HEAT WAVE OF THE SEASON WILL ARRIVE THIS
WEEKEND AND PERSIST WELL INTO NEXT WEEK...
Dry west winds gusting to up to 35 mph will occur Tuesday
afternoon around Wenatchee, Waterville, and Vantage. Wednesday
will feature seasonal temperatures with a 20 percent chance of
showers and thunderstorms over far north Idaho. The Fourth of
July will be warm and dry with relatively light winds. Much
hotter weather will arrive this weekend and persist well into next
week. A prolonged period of well above average temperatures and no
precipitation has a good chance of persisting into mid July
leading to significant drying of our fuels.
